Call for Ideas for Student Meeting / Summit

A student meeting / summit will be organized with an aim to offer students in any social work programmes or related disciplines an opportunity to gain better understanding of today’s challenges to social work and social development as well as to voice their views and work together to make a difference to the world. Both local and overseas students are invited to submit their proposals for the event in terms of the event theme and format, etc via email to info@swsd2010.org on or before 31 December 2010.

These workshops will be organized in collaboration with IASSW, ICSW and IFSW respectively.

You are invited to submit abstracts and proposals on topics related to the Conference theme and sub-themes for presentation in the Conference. Other format of presentation could also be accepted – please specify on the abstract.

Conference Salons

You are encouraged to organize informal meetings or Conference salons to exchange your views on respective topics during lunch time starting from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. NO equipment (notebook or DVD player, etc) and staff support will be provided for the meetings and gatherings. All meeting rooms will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis. Details of the arrangement will be announced in May 2010 on the Conference website.

 
 
Fee-charging Skills Training Workshops (9, 15-16 June 2009)

A series of fee-charging skills training workshops will be offered on 9, 15-16 June 2010. The workshop fee is US$100 for a one-day workshop and US$50 for a half-day workshop. These workshops are not covered in the Conference registration fee. Prior Registration is required. Places are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be more workshops to be announced. Registration will be available in early 2010.
