| |
“2010 Joint World Conference on Social Work and Social Development” will be held in Hong Kong from 10-14 June, 2010. Over 2,000 professionals and concerned parties will meet and exchange at the event. ?Leveraging this international occasion, the Conference Organizing Committee hopes to develop a Local Agenda, to provide a framework and directions for local social work and social development in the next decade.
We invite you to be part of the process of envisioning and shaping the agenda by participating in the Reflection Seminar of Developing the Local Agenda for Social Work and Social Development on 30 January, 2010 (Sat). ?The Seminar primarily aims to engage the sector to establish the Hong Kong Agenda, build consensus on it within the sector, and explore strategies to respond to a complex and ever-changing social environment.? Specifically, through this seminar, we hope to:
‧ Lead a rational discussion on a joint action plan for the next decade in the field;
‧ Mobilize the sector and community stakeholders to advocate the Local Agenda in the years to come.
We hope that the Local Agenda developed can lead to some actionable initiatives to realize the vision of promoting balanced and sustainable development, and building a plural, equal, just, and caring Society. |

| Invitation for Response - Consultation Sessions |

| From 16 March to early May , we hope to widen our consultation and engagement by promoting more participation among colleagues in the sector and friends in other sectors, enriching the agenda, and deepening our thoughts and discussions on all these issues listed on the agenda.? To achieve this end, we will be organizing 13 extended consultation seminars on the 13 agenda in the coming 8 weeks.? We now invite all organizations, colleagues in the field, friends in other sectors as well as the public to participate in these discussion sessions and express your views and opinions on all these agenda.? We hope that with your participation, the agenda can reflect all issues that the entire society should be concerned with in the coming decade.? The date, time and venue of these 13 sessions are listed below: |
